This morning we've been playing with our Puppets (Dragon and Unicorn) and giving them food, because they were hungry.

Esta mañana hemos estado jugando con nuestras Marionetas (Dragón y unicornio) y les hemos estado dando de comer porque tenían hambre.

Outside in the terrace, but NOT in the park. KEEP CALM & STAY AT HOME with a 2 year old. #yomequedoencasa con mi hijo de 2 años
Authorities have told us NOT to go to parks and that can be difficult when you have kids (especially when your son loves them), but that is what we HAVE to do.
Not for us, but for society, it's a social responsibility.
On social media we can read messages like: Our grandparents went to war for us, we have to stay at home for them.
And I completely agree with them, as a mother and a teacher I see the need to be an example to everyone who still thinks that this is not serious.
How many people need to die for people to realise that this is not some kind of joke.
So even though at midday there was not a cloud in the sky, we DIDN'T go to the park, INSTEAD we played in our terrace. I do have to say that I am very lucky to have one.
I took out some finger puppets (I'll tell you how I use them with my students in another post) and a playing table that we usually use in the summer. My son didn't understand why we couldn't fill it up with water ( although it was sunny, it wasn't that hot) even so he had fun playing in the sun.
It's important for his Vitamin D too.
Las autoridades nos han dicho que NO debemos ir a los parques y eso puede ser difícil cuando tienes hijos (especialmente cuando tu hijo los ama), pero eso es lo que tenemos que hacer.
No por nosotros, sino para la sociedad, es una responsabilidad social.
En las redes sociales podemos leer mensajes como: Nuestros abuelos fueron a la guerra por nosotros, ahora nosotros tenemos que quedarnos en casa por ellos.
Y estoy completamente de acuerdo con estos mensajes, como madre y maestra veo la necesidad de ser un ejemplo para todos los que todavía piensan que esto no es serio.
¿Cuántas personas tienen que morir para que la gente se de cuenta de que esto no es una especie de broma?
Así que aunque al mediodía no había una nube en el cielo, NO fuimos al parque, EN SU LUGAR jugamos en nuestra terraza. Tengo que decir que tengo mucha suerte de tener una terraza.
Saqué algunas marionetas de dedo (os diré cómo los uso con mis alumnos en otra publicación) y una mesa de juego que normalmente usamos en el verano.
Mi hijo no entendía por qué no podíamos llenarlo con agua (aunque hacía sol, no hacía tanto calor) pero aun así se divirtió jugando al sol.
También es importante para su vitamina D.

This morning we decided that a good way to start this quarantine period would be to wash and clean all the animal toys my son has.
My son is obsessed with animals, you'll be able to realize this in some posts. In the future I don't know if he'll want to be a biologist or a veterinarian, but right now he absolutely loves them.
Anyway, last week in class I worked on the subject of animals in science with my students (All the subjects I teach are in English) and we used these animals in class to carry out different activities. So before we can play with them at home, we need to clean them thoroughly.
Here's a video that I have created. (In another post I will explain what APPS I have used to create it).
This could be a fun way to spend some time at home with your kids, since kids love water!
Esta mañana hemos decidido que una buena forma de comenzar este periodo de cuarentena sería lavar y limpiar todos los juguetes de animales que tiene mi hijo.
Como vais a poder in comprobando a partir de ahora mi hijo está obsesionado con los animales. En un futuro no sé si querrá ser biólogo o veterinario, pero a fecha de hoy le encantan.
La semana pasada traté con mis alumnos el tema de animales en Ciencias (todas las asignaturas que imparto son en inglés) y usamos estos animales de mi hijo en clase. Así que antes de poder volver a jugar con ellos en casa, toca una buena limpieza.
Aquí os lo comparto con un vídeo que he creado. (En otro post os explicaré con que APPS lo he creado).
Esto podría ser una forma divertida de pasar el tiempo en casa, porque los niños adoran el agua.
